Problem connecting my iPhone to my Rav4

It's really annoying that I have a problem with the new phone. I just bought a new iPhone 16Pro, I used 12 Pro previously. Now I have CarPlay connectivity issue. My brother told me to delete my 12 Pro from my car and add the 16 Pro, but it's not connecting at all. Anyone have this issue before?

i saw tons of posts with people having the same problem so i tried it with a budys ihpone 16 and its the same story so i think it may be phone related

hi buddy, I had the same problem when I got my new phone. I did the basic checks, like making sure that the bluetooth was on in the phone and enabled on the car. make sure you've updated all the software, then restart the device @MoriartyBuddy

Ugh, same here, just dropped $$$ on the iPhone 14 pro and now carplay won't even connect. Deleted the old phone, did the whole setup again, nothing. so ridiculous. It's 2025, how is this still a thing? anyone found a real fix or are we all stuck rebooting like it's 2010?
