Oil Change

Just finished an oil change on my 2020 and thought I'd throw this out there, does anyone else notice the filter placement being a bit of a hassle compared to other vehicles? I've done plenty of DIY oil changes but the cartridge system still slows me down a bit, do you guys stick with OEM filters or if you've found a solid aftermarket brand that fits well without the mess.

That cartridge filter space on the RAV4 can be a bit of a pain. A good oil filter wrench makes it easier. I usually go for the OEM filters, but Fram and Bosch are pretty reliable options if you're looking for aftermarket. Have you given any aftermarket filters a shot? Or thought about switching to an aluminum housing?

Got a 2021 RAV-4 and I'm about to do an oil change too. heard Fram and Wix make good aftermarket options that fit cleanly.

Yep, both Fram and Wix make solid aftermarket filters for the 2021 RAV4 , and they fit without issues. If you want to play it safe, OEM is always a good choice, but those two brands are popular alternatives that perform well for routine oil changes.
