Had an accident. I'm safe, but will my wallet be?

So I got rear-ended today by a motorbike running on his normal speed thank goodness not his top speed. I love my 2024 Rav4 Limited and I've been taking care of it like a baby only for this to happen. Thank goodness I'm safe and untouched but the bumper garnered a large crack, and the back door is having difficulties opening and closing I have to pry real hard. Have you experienced this already? I wanna know if it's only this bend that I have to pay for or the repair shop is gonna say a lot of stuff I won't understand tryna milk me for more payment.

Damn. You're definitely still on insurance, but don't pay for it. It's their fault anyway. @InspectorLestrade said the right thing. The bumper crack may indicate long term headaches you want to avoid now soon as ever but I hope you really did exchange insurance infos like @greyham is asking?

Rear-end impacts can cause more damage than you'd think.. and getting insurance to pay for the full extent of repairs can be a bit of a fight.

I hope you got a detailed estimate and compared it to your insurance adjuster's?
