Backing up in the new RAV4 LE

Neighbor let me test his 2025 Toyota RAV4 LE and it gave a soft beep when I edged up toward a mailbox in reverse but I'm not sure if that was the cross-traffic alert or a parking sensor. He also wasn't entirely sure if it came with any sensor package or if that was just standard now. Do all LEs beep like that or is it hit or miss depending on what's bundled in?

Well the soft beep sounds, based on my experience, might be the basic rear parking sensor, which is pretty standard now even on base trims like the LE. I suppose cross-traffic alert gives a louder, more urgent tone. It really depends if your neighbor has the convenience or safety package added.

How can you tell for sure if a specific RAV4 LE has parking sensors or rear cross-traffic alert, does the infotainment system list active safety features, or do you have to check the build sheet?

Beep was most likely the standard rear proximity sensor, not cross traffic. So basically, all LEs should give a beep when backing up close to an object, even without extra packages.

Guys, I'm 99% sure the 2025 LE doesn't have parking sensors, so that's definitely not the beep you heard. It's something else.

Here's my final update to clear up confusion from earlier replies. The debate led me to check my neighbor's 2025 LE in person today. @Userunknown1 correctly described the base model's features. We reviewed the window sticker and confirmed his vehicle has an optional package with parking assist sensors. The soft beep I noticed comes from these optional sensors, which explains why some cars of the same trim differ. Thanks for your input. This discussion helped me get the answer.
