what data does your rav4 collect

so i just stumbled upon an article about the data our cars collect and it got me thinking found out that our rav4s are collecting a bunch of info about us didn't realize it was that much checked out this site where you can plug in your vin and see all the data your toyota is recording on you it's kinda wild tbh makes you wonder about privacy right figured i'd share this with you guys so you can check it out too might be useful info for everyone and we can discuss if we are cool with this or if it feels like a privacy invasion

same here, I had no idea our RAV4s were logging that much info until I ran my VIN through that site. It was creepy seeing all the data points they're tracking, driving habits, location history, even seatbelt use?? I get that some of it helps with diagnostics and safety, but like where do we freaking draw the line??

It's kind of crazy,dude. It logs far more than I anticipated when I checked mine as well. I understand the benefits of technology,but it definitely makes you consider what we're giving up for ease. After that,I made some adjustments to my data settings,which are worth checkin out if you haven't already
